Debajo del Sol is a project focused on bringing the infectious social spirit of Spanish food to the streets of Ann Arbor. Debajo del Sol's custom food cart will offer authentic and original Spanish cuisine as part of Mark's Carts food cart courtyard. Debajo del Sol will feature a rotating tapas and paella menu that emphasizes seasonal and local ingredients with bold and exciting flavors. The courtyard setting will be casual and fun with music and entertainment, communal eating areas, and a wide variety of food styles. The focus will be on enjoying food and fun together. Through this setting Debajo del Sol hopes to capture the excitement of eating in Spain and to create memorable social experiences for its customers.

Debajo del Sol is the vision of Chef Jay Scott and his wife, Cristina Trapani-Scott. While honeymooning in Barcelona back in 2004, the two envisioned one day sharing their love of Spanish cuisine with the Ann Arbor area. The dream will be realized in spring of 2011 when Debajo del Sol opens as one of Mark's Carts.
